FAQ

Questions founders and investors ask us first

01What size of transactions does Cavalier Capital advise on?
We advise on transactions with an enterprise value typically between €10m and €200m: the mid-market, where a competitive process is worth running and senior attention makes the difference.
02Which companies do you work with?
Software and tech-enabled services companies, mainly in France and Europe: vertical SaaS, infrastructure and data software, AI-native software, IT and digital services, with adjacencies in fintech, healthtech, consumer internet and hardware.
03Do you work with founders or with investors?
Both. We advise founders and shareholders on the sale of their company, management teams and sponsors on LBOs, and strategic acquirers or sponsor-backed platforms on acquisitions.
04How is Cavalier Capital different from larger M&A advisors?
Deal teams are led by the partners from the first call to closing, and we take on a limited number of mandates at a time.
05How does a sale process run, and how long does it take?
Preparation, launch, a first round of non-binding offers, a second round with due diligence and binding offers, then negotiation and closing. From launch to signing, a well-run process typically takes six to nine months, depending on the company and the market.
06How do we start?
Write to [email protected]. A first conversation with a partner is about understanding your company, your shareholders' objectives and the timing; we then tell you whether and how we can help.
